The 800g *Cringe* Challenge

I’m going to keep this one short and sweet. There’s a new nutrition program floating around that my family and I are putting into practice starting today, and I wanted to share it with all of you in case it’s something you’re interested in!

The 800g challenge, and I HATE calling it a challenge because that inherently tells us that there is an end date, but the 800g challenge says you can eat whatever you want, as much as you want. The ONLY stipulation of this challenge is that you must eat 800 total grams of fruits and vegetables a day.

To Hooch or not to Hooch?

My high school track coach loved to use the scare tactic to discourage us from drinking.

One night of drinking will ruin your last week of workouts.

It was a pretty good line. Of course there were still athletes at my high school who partied, but I’d say a large majority of us were too scared to even see the stuff. Honestly I hear about so many people starting to drink in high school and it wasn’t even on our radar. After doing a little more research in college, I found out that the relationship between alcohol and health is a bit more complicated and probably less dramatic than our coaches warned.
